Prevention it is the most cost effective approach a property owner can take. We recommend inspections for all property acquisitions.

Reactive - When a property owner or a pest control company has confirmed the presence of live bed bugs, our service can pinpoint the problem areas within the facility. Our canine teams’ ability to determine problem areas, can provide your exterminating company the information needed to conduct a more precise and cost-effective treatment plan and minimize the use of pesticides.

Post Treatment – After a pest control company has treated a facility, our service can help to ensure the infestation has been completely eliminated. Our canine will not alert on dead bed bugs.

* To ensure the health of our dog, we must wait 30 days to re-inspect a facility or home if pesticides were used. If heat was used to treat the bed bug infestation, we can do a post treatment inspection that very day.

Prices

Residential Properties - Houses are inspected at a base price of $200 for a standard 4 bedroom home or less. A typical inspection of a residential home takes approximately 1 hour. If the residential property is larger and/or we search more than 1 property, please call to discuss pricing.

Large Commercial Properties - Any property that takes 1 hour or less to search will be charged $200. Larger properties may be eligible to receive a discounted rate. This may be broken down as a per room/unit price based on your particular property.

Monthly and Quarterly Inspections - Using our service for monthly or quarterly inspections is the most proactive approach to determine the status of your facility. Please call us to discuss inspection costs.

Out of Town Work (Tri-State Area) - Canine handling teams are willing to travel out of the Tri-State area to conduct inspections. Pricing may change depending upon the property and location of the inspection.

Client Checklist

Printable Checklist - Please implement this checklist for any canine inspection areas.

  • All pets must be removed, or placed in an area not involved in the search (example: outside or a bathroom).
  • Food, water, and toys need to be removed or non-accessible to the search dog.
  • Noise and human distraction must be minimized. The less human interaction with the canine the better he can work.
  • Air conditioners, heaters, and ceiling fans need to be turned off 20 minutes prior to our inspection. Windows must be closed.
  • Air fresheners, plug in air fresheners, and candles should be removed 20 minutes prior to inspection.
  • Smoking materials must be extinguished within two hours of inspection.
  • Please minimize the amount of clutter in your residence. The cleaner your residence, the better the canine can conduct his search.
  • If you would like our dog to inspect wheel chairs and walking aids, assistance may be needed during inspections to aid residents.
  • Once again, please make sure no pesticides or chemicals have been used 30 days prior to our inspection.
